About This Role We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager to support and manage entity-level accounting for Toast’s India operations. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local statutory requirements, and timely close processes, while managing and developing a team of accountants. You will collaborate closely with global accounting, tax, payroll, and FP&A teams, as well as external auditors and advisors, to support a growing and dynamic business in India. What You’ll Do  Manage end-to-end accounting activities for Toast’s India entities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close  Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with Ind AS, local statutory requirements, and Toast accounting policies  Own balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions  Act as the primary point of contact for statutory audits, tax audits, and regulatory filings Partner with global accounting teams to ensure alignment on accounting policies, processes, and controls  Support internal controls and SOX compliance, including documentation, testing, and remediation  Collaborate cross-functionally with tax, payroll, legal, and FP&A teams to support accurate reporting and business needs  Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability  Manage, mentor, and develop a team (currently a 3 member team)  Support ad hoc accounting projects, system enhancements, and cross- functional initiatives What You’ll Need  Semi-qualified or Qualified CA preferred, Managing experience is mandate. Overall 12+ years of experience is mandate  5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on entity-level accounting.  Strong working knowledge of Ind AS and Indian statutory and regulatory requirements  Prior experience managing or leading a small accounting team  Experience with month-end close, audits, and financial reporting  Solid understanding of internal controls and compliance frameworks  Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally  Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment  Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and strong Excel skills Nice to Have  Experience working in a multinational or high-growth technology company Exposure to SOX-compliant or US-listed organizations  Experience supporting global accounting operations and intercompany accounting Our Commitment to You Toast is an equal opportunity employer.
