Job Title Market Data & Research Analyst A Career with Point72’s Market Data & Research Finance team The Finance team provides a broad range of timely, accurate, relevant, and objective financial information, advice, and services to its business partners, with commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards. MDR Finance is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative and accounting support in the management of the firm’s market data and research spend. The team is responsible for maintaining all inventory of market data services in the firm’s inventory database and allocating and recording all associated expenses. MDR Finance reconciles and processes all market data invoices and works with vendors to resolve discrepancies. The team is also responsible for managing procurement of certain market data services. Finally, the group manages internal and external reporting, budgeting, and project initiatives. What you’ll do Review, research, and reconcile market data invoices Maintain inventory and cost allocations in the firm’s market data inventory management database (Optimize SPEND) Provide support to Market Data business analysts in partnership with Compliance, Legal, and other various internal departments Support monthly close processes Oversee finance and administration relationship with vendors, including exchange reporting and vendor onboarding controls Oversee procurement of certain market data services Identify ways to automate and streamline market data processes Maintain oversight of soft dollar and sales/use tax policy and administration Assist with budgets, ad hoc reporting, and special projects What’s required Accounting or finance degree 1-3 years’ experience in an accounting, finance or market data environment Strong analytical ability, familiarity with data analysis and database tools is important Experience with Excel Previous experience in market data, accounting, accounts payable, or account management A detail oriented team player who has genuine interest in market data within an asset management environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize both volume and deadline driven responsibilities Commitment to the highest ethical standards We take care of our people We invest in our people, their careers, their health, and their well-being.
