Job Description:
Job Summary:
Join our Meter Engineering team to solve a range of technical challenges related to meter applications. You'll conduct detailed engineering analyses, design work, and calculations using standard methodologies, while providing technical support for metering standards, installations, and field troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day operations of the Meter Test Center and Meter Engineering teams
Assist Data Services in identifying and resolving ISO metering data discrepancies through field meter probing
Provide technical support to field staff and contractors regarding metering issues
Contribute to some phases of Substation Metering projects
Specify and recommend appropriate metering equipment for various projects and assignments following UI guidebook
Develop proficiency in metering codes, standards, and regulations
Review metering requests from internal and external stakeholders
Prepare construction drawings, material requisitions, and cost estimates with guidance as needed
Assist technicians with meter troubleshooting and updates
Revise and maintain station metering prints to reflect system changes
Coordinate with various departments for metering updates or installations
Participate in storm duty assignments as required
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology from an ABET-accredited college/university OR
Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology from an ABET-accredited college/university plus related industry experience in areas such as Distribution, Transmission, or electrical fieldwork
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
US work authorization required
