The Role
The Business Development Consultant (BDC), is responsible for proactively supporting business development efforts and driving the overall client experience with key accounts across the Morningstar Wealth product suite, with a particular focus on Morningstar Wealth Platform and Morningstar Investment Management (MPS and Multi Asset Fund). The successful candidate will possess a willingness to proactively drive business development efforts across assigned accounts, in partnership with the Business Development Manager (BDM) for the region. The BDC will play a pivotal role in growing the Morningstar Wealth presence in the UK, delivering best in class relationship management, sales/cross-sales and service delivery.
Responsibilities
Support new business development and cross-selling efforts regionally Responsible for proactively driving the overall satisfaction within a group of assigned client accounts
Act as a first point of contact for all prospect and client queries, qualifying opportunities and working with the BDM to closure
Provide ongoing support to client firms for BAU queries and training requirements.
Support the BDM in analysing data trends to identify opportunities for Morningstar Wealth to grow Share of Wallet within assigned panel of clients.
Organise, schedule, and participate in client calls and meetings and follow through to ensure all discussed action points are addressed and deadlines adhered to.
Work with internal stakeholders to deliver services that empower our clients to give great advice to their customers.
Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, implementation, adviser support, operations, and product/technology teams to support business development.
Provide ongoing support to the team on producing MI, presentation decks and disseminating client feedback.
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent
Candidates should have 2+ years of financial services experience
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities to maximise sales and retention.
Confident telephone manner
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to deliver professional and persuasive presentations and create client rapport.
Strong business instincts, good judgment, and creative mindset.
Excellent team player who can communicate effectively
Impeccable character with high ethical and quality standards
High attention to detail, inquisitive and eager to learn.
