Position Overview
The Sr Master Scheduler Specialist will provide scheduling support to the molecular laboratory operations (MLO) teams with sample scheduling at the Seattle facility. Level of position commensurate with experience applicable to the role. This position reports to the Manager, Master Scheduling and Laboratory Analytics. The candidate will be responsible for all daily planning, scheduling adherence and related performance targets.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Create Master Production Schedule to support daily activities of MLO operations at multiple facilities
Generate reports for production line capacity, production status reports, downtime, peak production, inventory and scheduling accuracy
Identifies and co-ordinates resolution of schedule gaps and conflicts
Collaborate with production floor supervisors at all times to mitigate any risks in project completion, adjust schedules in a timely manner and communicate any risks to leadership
Provide employee schedules to supervisors on a daily basis
Generate Demand Plan and work out projected demand plans based on capacity
Maximize the efficient utilization of equipment to improve the productivity of the production floor
Monitors and verifies reagent inventory balances and work activities and communicates to appropriate channels accordingly
Collaborates with the Lab Ops Improvement team to schedule validation and comparability studies
Collaborates with Development to schedule validation runs for new products
Collaborates with Supply Chain and Ops QC to plan and schedule Master Lot QC runs and related activities at the Production Lab to meet demand
Partners with Operations, Quality, LOI and Manufacturing teams for resource requirements
Identify and implement process improvements and system/technology relevant to scheduling
All other duties as assigned

Must possess at least a basic knowledge of supply chain activities
Must have good time management ability so as to be able to meet up with orders and schedules
Must be able to make use of different data base programs especially Microsoft Excel, MS Outlook

Position Requirements (Education, Experience, Other)
B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in relevant discipline
5+ years’ experience with scheduling in a laboratory/biotech environment
Specialized knowledge and experience: Laboratory analytics and scheduling
Experience and understanding of CLIA regulations and GCLP requirements are a plus
Prefer required certification needed in fields like supply chain, project management, or business management
Working Conditions
Work in a clinical laboratory environment. May require entrance to laboratory and working with patient samples, and lab automation equipment.
Prolonged periods of working at a computer.
May include some time shadowing laboratory staff or working in the laboratory.

Compensation
Salary Range: $80,200 - $120,400

Adaptive’s posted compensation information includes a base salary (or hourly rate) range and summary of other available total compensation. The base salary range represents a minimum-to-maximum salary (or hourly rate) available to candidates upon extension of offer. Base salary is thoughtfully considered upon offer and is determined through multiple evaluation checks throughout the interview process, including: a candidate’s ability to meet minimum qualifications (skills/experience/education), a candidate’s ability to thoughtfully address preferred qualifications, current market conditions, and internal pay equity. Listed base salary is exclusive of bonus, commission, equity, differential pay, benefits, and other incentives.
