Cowbell is hiring a Cyber Claims Specialist to support and grow our claims capability in Australia. This role will be responsible for the handling and oversight of cyber insurance claims across the Australian market, working closely with policyholders, brokers, underwriting, distribution, insurer partners, and specialist vendors. As Cowbell continues to expand globally, this role will play a key part in establishing and embedding Cowbell’s claims presence in Australia, ensuring our claims philosophy, approach, and service standards align with our UK and US teams while meeting local market and regulatory expectations. What you will do: Manage the end-to-end handling of cyber claims arising from Australian policyholders, from notification through to resolution Act as a key claims contact for brokers and insureds in the Australian market Work closely with underwriting and distribution teams to: provide claims insights support broker engagement help position claims as a differentiator Support the development of claims data, trends, and reporting relevant to the Australian portfolio Assist with the creation and delivery of claims presentations and training for brokers and internal stakeholders Collaborate with UK and US claims colleagues to ensure consistency in claims approach, guidance, and strategy Contribute to the ongoing development of claims processes and best practices as the Australian operation grows Facilitate claims payments, budgets, and maintain and manage financial data. Generate reports utilizing Tableau to pull general claims data What Cowbell needs from you: • Experience working in insurance claims, ideally within cyber insurance • Previous exposure to cyber, professional indemnity, or financial lines claims strongly preferred • Confidence working directly with: brokers insureds insurer partners external vendors Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain claims concepts clearly to non-technical audiences Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-growing, evolving environment A collaborative mindset and willingness to build and shape a function, not just operate within one Flexible and open to change, innovation, and new information Work Location: This role is fully remote, however candidates must be based in Sydney, NSW, to support the Australian market and stakeholder engagement.
