Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Denver Operations & Supply Chain is fully accountable for the performance, reliability, and scalability of operations at the Denver site. This role leads customer service, planning, purchasing, supplier execution, inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, and fulfillment in a life sciences environment.
Denver supports a buy / relabel / resell business model with a small set of critical stocked products and a large, long tail of low-velocity SKUs. Sustained success requires more than building and enforcing planning discipline, inventory controls, supplier accountability, and execution standards. This role is intended for a next-level Senior Manager who can think strategically about what the site needs to succeed, while also owning hands-on execution.
This leader is expected to build systems, processes, and operating cadence, and deliver measurable improvement in service, inventory health, supplier reliability, and execution consistency.
This role reports to the Senior Director, Global Supply Chain.
Core Accountabilities
Total Site Operational Ownership & Strategic Execution
Own end-to-end operational site performance, including OTD, backlog, inventory health, supplier reliability, and execution stability.
Think strategically about what the site needs to succeed (processes, structure, capabilities, metrics) and translate that into executable action.
Establish a disciplined operating cadence that connects daily execution to longer-term improvement.
Planning & Replenishment Execution
Own planning execution at the site level, including replenishment accuracy, lead time adherence, backlog reduction, and stock availability.
Build or strengthen planning processes and controls where gaps exist.
Ensure demand signals are translated into reliable, executable supply and inventory plans.
Inventory Discipline & Control
Own inventory performance, including accuracy, turns, stockouts, and excess/obsolescence reduction.
Build inventory controls, cycle count discipline, and accountability mechanisms where needed.
Drive material improvements across both core SKUs and long-tail items.
Supplier Performance & Accountability
Own supplier execution performance, including on-time delivery, lead time reliability, and responsiveness.
Build clear expectations, escalation paths, and corrective action processes with suppliers.
Ensure purchasing decisions support execution reliability and inventory strategy.
Warehouse, Shipping & Receiving Excellence
Own warehouse and logistics execution with accountability for receiving timeliness, pick/pack accuracy, throughput, and compliance.
Improve material flow, layout, labor utilization, and standard work to support growth and accuracy.
Ensure relabeling, handling, and shipping meet quality and regulatory requirements.
Metrics, Systems & Continuous Improvement
Define, implement, and actively manage KPIs including OTD, supplier OTD, inventory accuracy, turns, stockouts, backlog, and lead time.
Build visual management and reporting that drives accountability and action.
Lead continuous improvement efforts to hard-wire better processes and standards.
People Leadership
Build and lead high-accountability teams across customer service, planning, purchasing, inventory, and warehouse operations.
Develop leaders who can manage execution and problem-solve, not just supervise tasks.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field required.
8+ years of experience in operations and/or supply chain leadership.
5+ years leading complex, execution-heavy teams.
Proven track record of building processes and stabilizing operations.
Experience in buy/sell, distribution, or life sciences environments strongly preferred.
Strong ERP, data, and operational problem-solving skills.
Lean / continuous improvement experience required.
