Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Ground-based Midcourse Defense Fire Control and Communications Program Protection Engineer to join our team! In this role you will will work as a technical staff member of the GFCC Product Team. In this role, you will assist the Government in overseeing and evaluating the development contractor's implementation of program protection and security engineering across the GFCC system. Your primary goal is to ensure the integrity, security, and resiliency of critical systems by safeguarding Critical Program Information (CPI) and mission-critical functions against compromise, tampering, and supply chain threats.
What You'll Be Doing:
Author and maintain the GMN Program Protection Plan (PPP), develop supplementary technical inputs to the GMD Security Classification Guide (SCG) and Operations Security (OPSEC) Plans, and tailor protection requirements to GMN’s specific Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF) pathway.
Conduct Critical Program Information (CPI) assessments to find the highly sensitive hardware/software designs, identify Critical Components (CC) that perform mission-critical functions, and perform Controlled Technical Information (CTI) identification to ensure sensitive data is not leaked.
Assist GMN on the anti-tamper design and implementation of physical, electrical, and logical countermeasures to deter, detect, and delay reverse-engineering attempts on GFCC hardware if it is lost in combat or exported to foreign allies.
Conduct Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) assessments to prevent adversaries from inserting counterfeit or malicious components into GFCC systems.
Drive Software Assurance (SwA) and Hardware Assurance (HwA) initiatives to verify the integrity of microelectronics and operating code.
Coordinate with Missile Defense Agency counterintelligence and defense intelligence agencies to request and review Multidisciplinary Counterintelligence Threat Assessments (MDCITA), and translate threat intelligence into actionable system security requirements.
Develop protection requirements directly into Statements of Work, Requests for Proposals, and system performance specifications.
Participate in the technical evaluation of contract proposals.
Assist GMN in preparation, conduct, and after-action responsibilities for system requirements reviews, design reviews, project status reviews, test and acceptance events, fielding readiness reviews, and operational readiness reviews.
Develop and present technical reports and briefings including support to the Engineering Review Boards (ERB), other Stakeholder coordination, and Operational Capacity List (OCL) approval process.
Travel as required (estimated 10%).
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related STEM discipline is required.
Minimum of 7 years of direct experience in program protection is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of DoD Program Protection disciplines, including Anti-Tamper, SCRM, SWA/HwA, and Information Security is required.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are required.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required.
An active security clearance (SECRET or above) is required.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Familiarity with DoD policies and guidance related to Program Protection (e.g., Defense Acquisition Guidebook Chapter 9, DoDI 5000.83) is highly desired.
Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
