Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

ABOUT ODEN: Manufacturing is undergoing its fourth industrial revolution, with factory operations increasingly driven by real-time applications that combine process and context data with advanced ML and AI algorithms. This is unlocking a staggering opportunity to improve the efficiency and productivity of existing manufacturing processes.  As a Manufacturing AI company, Oden is at the forefront of this revolution. We combine large-scale data processing architectures and advanced AI and ML algorithms within the Oden platform so manufacturing operations teams can continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize their production, across a diverse set of processes and conditions. Our goal is to maximize efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness in the manufacturing domain - to help True Makers Make Things Better! CULTURE - We obsess over customers. Everything we do is to create profound results and delight for our customers. Every Viking cares about the purpose of the product and company, and prioritizes work based on customer end results. When in doubt, we go to the Gemba – we’re happy to put on steel toe boots and hit the factory floor to work with the production manager. - We move fast and follow through – we live by transparent and scientific thinking, act with urgency, and put in the work to find the best ideas with those around us. - We elevate each other by giving and receiving direct, honest feedback and holding ourselves and others to a high standard to help the team rise, deliver, and win together. - “Be True Makers to Serve True Makers.” We’re building a community that fuels innovation and accelerates our pace and impact. We always ask if there’s a better way to do something, even if it's unconventional – then we try it. We aim for bold yet simple solutions that cut through complexity and drive meaningful progress. The Role As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will work on the interface that factory floor teams rely on to get insights from their data, and you’ll build it so it can be extended and adapted in a self-service way using AI tools. That means building the visual components, the AI interaction interface, and all the supporting code that lets an AI agent assemble those pieces for a customer, as well as the backend components that power those interfaces and interactions.   We’re looking for someone with a strong AI-forward mindset: comfortable building with AI tools and building AI-native products, and wanting real time and space to tinker, experiment, and run research spikes rather than just execute against a fixed spec. You’ll work closely with Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and Data Scientists across the company, and most of your day-to-day collaboration will be with internal teams.   This is a full-time role based in Brazil or Argentina. Candidates must be available during our core overlap hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM Eastern Time (New York). Working hours outside that window are flexible based on your local time zone.   What You’ll Do: - Build the visual components, the AI interaction interface, and the supporting code that allow an AI agent to assemble and adapt our factory-floor UI, so users can self-serve changes to how the product looks and behaves - Help drive product delivery by implementing new features and prototypes using the best tools for the problem at hand. Most often you’ll build on our prior art: React SPAs and the Golang/GraphQL APIs that back them - Work with Product, Design, and Data Science to understand our users’ problems and identify solutions - Take part in unstructured hackathons and research spikes to test new ideas and technologies. Some of our best product ideas come out of this kind of exploration   Required Experience: - 5+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience - Proficiency with React and TypeScript - Proficiency with at least one backend-focused programming language, such as Golang, Java, C++, Python, Rust, or similar - Familiarity with data storage and processing systems in cloud environments, especially Postgres, ClickHouse, and GCP - An AI-forward mindset: you build with AI tools (general-purpose LLMs like Claude and ChatGPT, and beyond) for coding, design, collaboration, and documenting knowledge, and you’ve built or contributed to products that let others use AI to change how the product looks or behaves - A tinkering mindset: you’re energized by experimentation and open-ended research spikes, not just prescriptive spec work - Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and non-technical internal stakeholders - Fluent written and spoken English for daily collaboration with US-based teams What Success Looks Like In your first 6 months, you will have: - Shipped production code within your first few weeks - Become comfortable working across our React frontend and the Golang/GraphQL APIs behind it - Made a measurable improvement to how customers use AI to change their UI, such as fewer broken or failed layouts, faster time from request to a working page, or a new kind of change users can now make on their own For positions located in the United States, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for these positions. AT ODEN, WE ARE DEEPLY COMMITTED TO ENSURING THAT EVERY TEAM MEMBER IS ENGAGED IN WORK THEY ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT AND FIND FULFILLING.
