Communications Lead

The Comms Team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include Snapchatters, Spectacles users, creators, developers, advertising partners, content partners, investors, policymakers, and Snap team members. This passionate team works hard to show the world what makes Snapchat, Spectacles, and Lens Studio powerful platforms for communication, storytelling, and augmented reality innovation, and to ensure the narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling. What you’ll do: Be responsible for driving our communications strategy on the ground, working closely with the Senior Manager, Communications to develop a comms plan for the Nordics business, leading on execution and collaborating with others. Have responsibility for shaping and executing:   Proactive corporate reputation and thought leadership campaigns: including developing campaigns, partnerships and thought leadership that highlights our contribution, technology leadership and growing community.  Advertiser communications: educating brands and creative agencies about our products, strategy and creative campaigns, driving share of voice in key trade and vertical sector press (including retail, sport, luxury and FMCG). Policy communications: education with media and industry stakeholders on our work to keep Snapchatters safe and the tools/resources available for our community.  Manage and participate in media outreach efforts across technology, mainstream, consumer, business, and hardware press to support announcements and sustained product momentum Draft and refine press releases, newsroom posts, messaging documents, and media materials that clearly communicate product updates and milestones Coordinate press briefings and demonstrations, and support preparation of spokespeople for interviews and speaking engagements Be a part of the communications press office - including:  Drafting copy in response to reactive issues Local management of sharing quarterly earnings updates with media Key business updates and announcements  Responding to the press office inbox  Partner cross-functionally (product, design, marketing, legal, policy, partnerships, developer relations) to ensure alignment and timely execution of launches and campaigns Collaborate with our agency partners to deliver a drumbeat of moments and coverage aligned to our business goals.   Track and analyse coverage results, evaluate performance, and recommend refinements to improve impact over time ​Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Established relationships with reporters across mainstream, technology, consumer, business, and hardware beats, and the ability to support complex platform and product storytelling in the Nordics A proactive approach to creativity, offering new ideas and approaches to keep us innovating as a comms team Experience of working on relevant corporate communications and b2b programs in the Nordics Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution and attention to detail Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, make decisions, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to build productive working relationships Clear and compelling written and verbal communicator with strong attention to detail Experience supporting platform services, developer ecosystems, or creator communities is highly desirable Strong interest in augmented reality and artificial intelligence; direct experience in these areas is a plus Experience collaborating with global teams to support coordinated communications efforts Implement smart use of tools like AI to help aide our comms function Minimum Qualifications: BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience 6+ years of professional experience working in a product communications role or related field Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the creative, tech, media or entertainment industries Experience in managing company-wide global initiatives A passion for Snapchat and creativity If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information.
