In this role you will get to work on the Raleigh-Durham Airport project. This position is responsible for reviewing submittals, reviewing change orders, estimating change orders, construction inspections, document control and daily photo documentation of construction activities. What You'll Be Doing: Performs daily site walks to confirm that construction methods and activities are performed safely and in accordance with construction plans, specifications, and contract requirements. Reviews contractor submittals for compliance with contract documents and prepares reports of any non-compliance items to the Principal Construction Manager. Processes contractor change submittals for price/quantity accuracy once verified as reasonable by the PCO. Reviews specifications for contract compliance and prepares comments on proposed changes. Reviews contractor project schedule and budget for all on-site activities, and monitors progress in meeting schedule and budget requirements, and informs the Principal Construction Manager of results. Organizes and maintains the flow of documents and ensures document meet quality standards and are in compliance with contract documents. Attends weekly job meetings; reviews minutes prepared by the CMAR for accuracy. Anticipates problems and works with client, architects/engineers, subcontractors, and the Principal Construction Manager to identify and implement corrective actions. Keeps client and the Principal Construction Manager informed of the day-to-day activities of the project. Reviews designs (written scopes of work and drawings) of accessibility solutions before projects are sent to subcontractor for pricing or solicitation. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or construction-related field and typically 10+ years of related work experience. Requires a working knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as some familiarity with industry practices. Excellent written and oral communication skills Familiarity with PC software packages along with Procore typically associated with engineering and construction Potential for performing in a lead capacity on a project.
