Genesys' Corporate Development team helps shape and accelerate company strategy through buy-side M&A, strategic investments, divestitures, partnerships, and other high-impact initiatives. As a Corporate Development Associate, you will work directly with the Head of Corporate Development and senior stakeholders to evaluate opportunities that can expand Genesys' capabilities, strengthen its position in enterprise software and customer experience, and create long-term strategic value. You will contribute across the M&A lifecycle, from market intelligence and target sourcing through financial analysis, due diligence, executive decision support, and integration knowledge transfer, while also helping advance the use of AI tools within the team's workflow. The role provides meaningful exposure to executive-level decision making, complex transactions, and enterprise strategy, creating opportunities to deepen your M&A expertise while expanding your understanding of software, AI, and customer experience technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive competitive intelligence and industry mapping to identify market trends, strategic opportunities, and potential areas for investment or acquisition
Identify and assess acquisition targets against investment theses, strategic priorities, market dynamics, and potential value creation
Develop qualitative and quantitative analyses, financial models, and business cases that enable informed investment and transaction decisions
Support buy-side M&A execution by coordinating key aspects of due diligence, synthesizing findings, and driving alignment across internal and external stakeholders
Produce clear, decision-ready analyses and presentations that enable executive management to evaluate strategic opportunities, transaction considerations, and key risks
Advance the use of AI tools within Corporate Development workflows to improve the efficiency and quality of research, analysis, and deal execution
Partner with integration stakeholders to transfer transaction knowledge and help position acquired businesses and capabilities for successful integration
Contribute to minority investments, sell-side projects, partnerships, and other strategic initiatives that broaden exposure across corporate development
Required Qualifications:
1 to 4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, transaction services, corporate development, or strategic finance
Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities, including financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and executive-level presentation development
Demonstrated ability to produce consistently high-quality work with strong attention to detail
Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated interest in learning about products, technology, markets, and business models
Professional maturity, sound judgment, and discretion when working with senior leaders and highly confidential information
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize competing demands, and deliver against tight deadlines with limited supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the confidence to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and take ownership of deliverables
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of an analyst program in investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, or transaction services
M&A transaction experience or meaningful exposure to deal execution and due diligence
