We are currently looking for the engineers for the following teams: Relay team works together to delight our users by enabling them to automate routine tasks. Our products save users time and deliver results in consistent manner. As our team in Poland continues to grow and take on building new product, we are looking for a seasoned engineer who can own large components of the system and work independently. In this role, your work will impact millions of users, who use Relay to get their work done on a daily basis. AI Studio team works together to empower users to customize and extend their Box AI experience. Our products enable intelligent workflows and highly visible AI-driven features across the Box platform, helping users work smarter and faster. As this new initiative at Box continues to grow, we are looking for a seasoned engineer who can own significant parts of the system and contribute to building scalable, reliable solutions end to end. In this role, your work will directly impact some of the most demanded features of Box, used daily by millions of users. You will collaborate closely with engineers and architects to design, implement, and evolve high-availability services that meet the highest reliability standards. WHAT YOU'LL DO Implement server-side logic and database interactions using Java and related frameworks. Create and maintain APIs to facilitate seamless communication between frontend and backend systems. Collaborate closely with designers to ensure a visually appealing and user-friendly experience in the application. Participate actively in code reviews to ensure high code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across the entire stack for a smooth user experience. Maintain documentation on development setup and engineering environment along with the greater team. Compose written specifications and documentation for software projects. Attend and engage in weekly stand-ups, team meetings, manager 1:1s. Play a role in developing and fostering Box culture in the newly created office. Participate in the production on-call duties rotation with the team members WHO YOU ARE We are an AI-first company. Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming. Review and assess the technical feasibility of project requirements and propose innovative solutions. Share knowledge with the team on best practices and coding standards, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment. Actively engage in feedback processes, contribute to code reviews, and play a role in enhancing team processes and practices. Must speak English proficiently.
