Job Title: VP Business Development
Reports To: Head of Business Development – Worldpay for Platforms
Location: Denver, Cincinnati, Atlanta preferred, remote optional, Domestic is a must.

Combined with $1.2 billion portfolio of software enablement payments revenue with a modem Payments as a Service there is the beginning of something incredibly special here.

Job Description:
The Worldpay for Platform’s business has successfully developed a GTM growth channel working with Consulting, Advisory and Influencers of Software companies. As the Vice President of Business Development, you will be responsible for continuing to refine this GTM channel strategy in conjunction with Sales and Marketing by identifying and developing new and expansion business opportunities with with Consulting, Advisory and Influencers of Software companies . This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of sourcing and developing partnerships.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in business development, a strong understanding with of key payment Consulting, Advisory and Influencers of Software companies and a deep knowledge of payment and fintech solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish market credibility as an embedded payments expert through authored thought leadership, engaging with and speaking at relevant industry events, and participation in other market-facing activities
Continue to build out this GTM channel for business development and growth by identifying, prioritizing, and targeting new with Consulting, Advisory and Influencers of Software companies and managing and growing existing partner-level relationships
Maintain an exceptional understanding of the current trends, operating principles, and objectives of with Consulting, Advisory and Influencers of Software companies and the industry to be able to tailor messaging and solutions to their specific needs
Serve as an advisor to firms on prospective investment opportunities and payment monetization strategies across their portfolios leveraging Worldpay’s unique insights and data
Collaborate cross functionally with the Growth and Sales & Marketing teams to refine and execute on a comprehensive business development strategy via digital and in person events
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships at the senior executive level, including partners, managing directors, and company executives.
Position Worldpay and Platform’s payment solutions in a compelling and customized manner to address the unique needs of with Consulting, Advisory and Influencers of Software companies
Lead creative and intelligent deal negotiations at both the with Consulting, Advisory and Influencers of Software companies
Collaborate with internal teams, including Product, Finance, Ops and Risk to ensure client satisfaction and successful project execution
Prepare and present business development proposals, reports and forecasts to senior leadership
Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform business development strategies, product roadmaps and corporate strategies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field
10+ years of experience with Payments Influencers (Consulting, Advisory and Influencers of Software companies)
10+ years of experience in business development, sales, strategy, management consulting, or a related field with a focus on payment solutions or financial technology
Proven track record of successfully developing and closing business deals
Demonstrated ability to assume thought leadership responsibility
Good knowledge and understanding of payments terminology, methodologies and relevant industry performance metrics
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach and the ability to work independently.
Worldpay is dedicated to offering individuals rewarding career opportunities and competitive compensation. For this full-time position, the good faith estimated annual salary range upon hire is $175,700.00-$261,350.00. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on the role’s responsibilities, level, and geographic location. The actual starting salary will be determined by a candidate’s experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Please note that changes in work location may impact the final offered salary. We encourage you to consult with your recruiter to confirm the budget for your location and to better understand the applicable pay scale. This position is eligible for commission.
