Lead Software Engineer - Control Plane

We are hiring talented Lead Software Engineers for our Production Control Plane team. The team is responsible for seamless, automated, and scalable cloud infrastructure deployment, provisioning, and lifecycle management. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: - Build a deep understanding of Snowflake’s infrastructure and services. - Apply both infrastructure and software engineering to deliver a highly scalable, resilient, and performant platform. - Provide technical leadership on large, complex projects that span infrastructure, platforms, tools, and automation in the cloud. - Champion platform adoption to meet business goals across partner teams. - Lead and mentor more junior engineers OUR IDEAL LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER - CLOUD ENGINEERING AT SNOWFLAKE, WILL HAVE: - BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience. - 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or platform engineering. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills; proven ability to build alignment across teams. - Ownership mindset, self-direction, and a passion for solving complex problems. - Strong software engineering fundamentals. - Proficiency in one or more languages: Go, Java, Python, or C++. - Expertise in at least one: platform building, automation, networking, site reliability, configuration management, or IaC (Terraform, Pulumi). - Strong distributed troubleshooting and incident resolution skills. - Tech lead experience Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth.
