Your Team, Your Impact
As a Financial Principal Professional at Marvell, you’ll work closely with the business unit you support to provide meaningful data analysis. Your team has a certain budget for resources and you’ll help them decide how to use that budget most effectively. Should we get more new lab equipment or hire another team member? Are we on track with the forecast? Will this new product deliver a positive return on investment given its costs? You’re the one providing the analysis to help your team decide.
What You Can Expect
1. Market & Supply‑Chain Intelligence (Primary Focus)
Gather primary market intelligence across semiconductor segments:
Foundry, logic, and advanced nodes
Fabless IC design – conduct competitive intelligence on key local providers
OSAT and advanced packaging (CoWoS, chiplets, 2.5D/3D)
Equipment and capital tools (EUV/DUV, WFE)
Materials (substrates, wafers, chemicals, gases, ABF, copper foils)
Track real‑world industry indicators:
Capacity and utilization
Pricing and ASP trends
Lead times, cycle times, and inventory levels
Technology transitions (N3/N2, HBM, automotive SiC/GaN)
Conduct in‑field observations and conversations (fully compliant & public‑source based).
Monitor expansion plans, supply-chain constraints, and emerging bottlenecks (substrates, HBM, packaging).
2. Industry & Technology Research
Develop comprehensive insights into semiconductor technology advancements, including manufacturing roadmaps, equipment adoption cycles, and packaging innovations.
Analyze competitor positioning, ecosystem dynamics, and industry structure.
Create regular research briefs on global semiconductor trends and Taiwan’s role within them.
Maintain intelligence frameworks and trackers (e.g., capacity databases, pricing trackers, technology transition maps).
3. Quantitative & Qualitative Analysis
Analyze publicly available financial and operational data to understand industry health and company performance.
Conduct scenario modeling to assess impacts of supply-demand shifts, technology transitions, or geopolitical developments.
Build structured models summarizing market size, TAM/SAM trends, and competitive share.
4. Reporting & Insight Generation
Generate clear, concise written insights for internal stakeholders:
Weekly market updates
Monthly industry deep‑dives
Technology or supply-chain explainers
Competitive analysis summaries
Translate complex technical and market signals into actionable insights and dashboards.
5. Ecosystem Monitoring & Network Building
Develop working relationships with ecosystem participants (manufacturers, suppliers, associations, industry analysts and financial analysts).
Attend semiconductor conferences, trade shows, and technical seminars to gather intelligence.
Stay on top of regulatory developments, export controls, trade policies, and regional manufacturing initiatives.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a highly analytical Financial / Market Intelligence Analyst to develop deep, ground‑level insights across Taiwan’s semiconductor ecosystem. This role centers on primary market research, competitive intelligence, industry mapping, and supply‑chain analysis. The ideal candidate is curious, connected, and comfortable working in a fast‑moving technical environment.
This position will serve as a key source of industry knowledge, data interpretation, and trend forecasting, supporting strategic decision-making across teams that rely on accurate semiconductor market visibility.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in semiconductor market research, industry analysis, equity research, consulting, or corporate strategy.
Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, supply chain structures, and technology roadmaps.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; comfortable working with complex technical data.
Ability to synthesize large volumes of information into clear, structured insights.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Economics, Finance, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience with Taiwan’s semiconductor ecosystem (leading semiconductor foundries and IC design companies, EDA/IP vendors, equipment suppliers, etc.).
Familiarity with wafer fabrication processes, advanced packaging, or semiconductor materials.
Experience creating dashboards or data tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
Strong network within Hsinchu/Taiwan semiconductor industry.
