About the Role
As Principal Product Manager for Platform and Shared Services, you'll define the strategy and roadmap for the foundational services that power Veeam's Data and AI Security, Privacy, and Safe AI products. You'll lead cross-functional initiatives to advance platform scalability, resilience, and developer enablement — partnering with Engineering, Architecture, Security, and GTM teams to ensure our platform keeps pace with a growing, diverse customer base. This role is a great fit for a systems thinker who thrives in multi-tenant SaaS environments and is energized by building frictionless experiences for product teams, developers, and end users alike.
What You’ll Do
Define and evolve the product vision and roadmap for core platform capabilities, including identity and access management, APIs, developer tooling, eventing systems, tenant management, and observability
Lead cross-team efforts to modernize and unify shared services across multiple product lines, ensuring consistency, scalability, and high performance
Partner with engineering leaders to deliver a secure, robust platform architecture that accelerates innovation across product teams
Translate complex technical requirements into clear, prioritized initiatives that balance long-term strategic investments with immediate business needs
Champion developer experience by delivering intuitive, reliable, and well-documented services that increase velocity and reduce cognitive load
Drive alignment across stakeholders through clear communication, documentation, and transparent decision-making
Monitor platform health using KPIs, customer feedback, and adoption metrics to inform continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring
10+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on SaaS platforms, infrastructure, or shared services
Strong technical understanding of multi-tenant cloud architectures, APIs, microservices, and access controls such as RBAC and ABAC
Demonstrated success delivering platform products that support internal and external developers at scale
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in highly matrixed organizations
Experience developing roadmaps, writing detailed product requirements, and managing delivery in an Agile environment
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence without authority
Bonus Skills
Familiarity with authentication and authorization frameworks such as OAuth2, SAML, or OpenID Connect
Experience with service mesh architectures, event-driven systems, or data pipelines
Background in developer tooling, API lifecycle management, or platform reliability engineering
Prior experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS company or on a dedicated platform team
