Business Unit Overview:
Blackstone Private Wealth was established to answer the growing demand for Blackstone products from high-net worth investors. Partnering with many of the world’s largest private banks and wealth management firms as well as family offices, Blackstone’s Private Wealth team packages and delivers the full breadth of Blackstone’s alternative product capability to these firms and their clients and provides ongoing product and advisor support, as well as education and training around alternatives.

Job Description:
The role will be involved in building relationships and maintaining contacts with distributors and asset management companies (sub-advisory partners), with the goal of accelerating the adoption of Blackstone investment solutions and growing the private wealth business in Japan.
The role will be responsible for understanding and articulating Blackstone’s sophisticated products (fund objectives, terms, exposures, characteristics, positioning, performance, etc.), providing promotion activities by conducting teach-in sessions and end-client seminars for distributor (at branches or via online) to support persistent growth of clients’ assets through the product lifecycle and maintaining client services by responding to inbound inquiries and working with professionals across Blackstone (including investments, legal/compliance department, finance, and other groups within the firm) to resolve clients’ issues.
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate must have:
Bachelor’s degree required
Professional working experience in financial services industry (asset management, wealth management or alternatives industry preferred, but not mandatory)
Great presentation skills (externally for distributors and end-clients, internally involving senior management)
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English
Demonstrate passion for capital markets, alternative investments, and retail and high-net worth businesses in Japan
Ability to perform at a high-level within a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture with a focus on excellence
Relevant Local Financial Product Sales Licenses (if not, need to obtain after joining organization)
Proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
