Job Description
Job Description
As a Product Data Management (PDM) – Change Analyst, the employee provides senior‑level governance, ownership, and execution oversight for master data and change object workflow management elements supporting Agilent Global Operations, primarily within Agile PLM and SAP. This role has accountability for defining, overseeing, and auditing master data and change governance processes across global business segments, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and decision quality for product structures, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and associated documentation.
The Change Analyst serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for PLM processes, change governance, and master data standards, providing authoritative guidance on complex or high‑risk changes. The position functions as a key escalation and execution point, particularly for ambiguous, cross‑functional, or high‑impact changes, including support for New Product Introductions (NPIs) and critical manufacturing releases.
The role ensures that changes are properly evaluated, approved, tested, and executed while minimizing disruption to production, maintaining product quality, and reducing enterprise risk. The Change Analyst participates as a core contributor and advisor on corporate and cross‑functional initiatives that directly or indirectly impact master data health, system readiness, and change execution within Agile PLM and SAP. This includes active collaboration with PDM peers, Line of Business stakeholders, Global Operations, and Agilent IT to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant master data availability across Agilent business solutions.
In support of global operations, the Change Analyst provides project leadership or structured support, oversees change implementation activities, supports system testing and validation efforts, and proactively identifies execution risks, dependencies, and process gaps. Through strong governance, escalation management, and continuous improvement focus, this role helps ensure consistent, high‑quality outcomes across global stakeholders while safeguarding business continuity and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide senior‑level ownership of complex, high‑risk, or ambiguous changes, ensuring end‑to‑end execution quality across Agile PLM and SAP for parts and non‑QMS documents, including ECR and change object governance.
Serve as a primary US‑time zone PDM escalation point for cross‑functional stakeholders, managing urgent issues, decision ambiguity, and execution risks that could impact NPIs, manufacturing release, or regulatory compliance.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for change governance, PLM processes, and master data, providing authoritative guidance on data ownership, attribute definitions, workflows, and release requirements.
Lead and support cross‑functional project initiatives, including NPIs, Agile and SAP project rollouts, and business solution projects, ensuring master data and change implementations align with GMP and enterprise governance standards.
Manage and resolve cross‑functional escalations related to master data accuracy, change execution, and system readiness, coordinating across Global Operations, IT, and line‑of‑business teams.
Own and maintain global master data and change process frameworks, including attribute matrices, ownership models, and workflow standards, in collaboration with business and IT partners.
Provide project‑level leadership or support for local and global initiatives related to system design, product development release, material master setup, and data governance improvements.
Support and oversee system testing and validation activities related to PLM and ERP changes, ensuring readiness for production use and minimizing downstream execution risk.
Perform data quality audits and drive corrective actions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of released product and material master data across PLM and ERP systems.
Mentor and enable global PDM and business users, providing expert consultation, process education, and decision support to improve overall change execution and governance maturity.
Proactively identify process gaps, execution risks, and escalation dependencies, applying a continuous improvement mindset to reduce delays, rework, and operational exposure across global stakeholders.
Represent global master data and change governance needs on high‑visibility initiatives, ensuring informed decision‑making and alignment across regions and functions.
