Relationship Associate
Our Radnor, PA office, approximately 30 minutes outside of Philadelphia, is hiring a Relationship Associate to join our office of approximately 50 investment and trust professionals. The Associate will provide daily support to our internal Trust Officers and interact with clients on a regular basis, managing ongoing client deliverables.
Associates have an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience related to investment management, trust and estate services, and client service. The Associate’s responsibilities will grow as their knowledge and skills progress, providing the opportunity to handle more sophisticated client needs and to develop the Associate’s career within Fiduciary Trust.
What are the primary responsibilities of a Relationship Associate?
Works with Trust Officers and Portfolio Managers on family relationships (clients), including account administration, preparing wealth projections, account reviews, preparation of PowerPoint presentations for client meetings, and may include attending client meetings.
Reviews trust documents and ensures all transactions are in compliance with the trust agreement and state laws.
Works closely with our Trust Officers to establish and maintain client contact. While working with the Trust Officer, acts as a key point of contact for clients and intermediaries with accountants, attorneys, and other advisors.
Initiates and approves wire transfers, discretionary principal payments, currency transactions, bill paying, and gifts & other wealth transfers.
Coordinates trust terminations and account closings in coordination with our Trust Counsel and Tax Department.
New Account Openings: Reviews account openings with Trust Officer to determine proper administration of account, state law requirements, beneficiaries, tax situs, fee analysis, and similar new account responsibilities.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
2-5 years’ experience in financial services with client-facing experience preferred
Knowledge of wealth management industry desired
Trust Administration background and knowledge highly preferred; ability to review and interpret trust language a strong plus
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while balancing the needs of the client
Effective interpersonal skills and relationship building skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle client account information with discretion
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work in our Radnor, PA office a minimum of three days per week

Compensation: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary — designed to support their well-being and recognize their time, talents, and results. We expect the base salary for this position to range between $70,000 - $85,000, depending on level of relevant experience, plus bonus.
