A Day in the Life
This is a high-impact, senior-level role serving as the strategic bridge between the Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management organizations and IT delivery teams. The position is responsible for translating complex regulatory and operational needs into actionable technical solutions, with a specialized focus on Digital Transformation and Agentic AI integration. The successful candidate will act as a "Product Thinker," moving beyond traditional requirement gathering to actively design AI use cases and automated workflows that drive the business agenda.
This role does not just "support" IT projects; it drives the business agenda. By blending process improvement with advanced technology like AI and workflow automation, the position ensures that the Legal and Risk organizations remain agile, data-driven, and technologically forward-thinking.
Key Deliverables
Agile Solution Design: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of user story development—from initial stakeholder collaboration to technical refinement with developers and QA. This includes defining rigorous acceptance criteria and managing backlog prioritization within an Agile framework
AI & Data Innovation: Partner with data scientists and architects to identify opportunities for predictive analytics and Machine Learning
Design responsible AI use cases specifically tailored for Legal and Risk environments, ensuring solutions are both innovative and compliant
Systems Optimization: Ensure all requirements align with enterprise system capabilities, specifically focusing on ONIT configurable applications, workflow automation, and complex system integrations
Strategic Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between IT Business Partners and Product Owners to ensure that technical delivery remains laser-focused on business value and ROI
Partner with our business stakeholders to understand, build requirements and write user stories and solutions that will drive value and efficiency
Breaks down complex requirements into smaller, actionable stories
Ensures stories align with system capabilities (e.g., ONIT configurable applications, integrations, workflow automation, AI features, etc.)
Supports backlog grooming by clarifying stories and prioritization ·
Understanding Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) concepts enough to design use cases and think like product owner
Working with data to identify opportunities for predictive or automated features. · Supporting testing, validation, and user adoption of AI solutions
Partnering with data scientists, architects, and business teams to implement AI responsibly
MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)
Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity (as per previous requirements)
Bachelor’s degree
Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, system architecture, and AI/ML concepts
Soft Skills: Advanced problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical business leaders
Fluent in English
Experience in Agile Methodology
Knowledge using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT)
Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills
Great leadership skills and ability to lead teams and drive the completion of requirements
NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)
Strongly Preferred: Previous Medtronic experience
Excellent communication skills, writing abilities, and proficiency in creating user stories
Domain Expertise: Ability to navigate the unique complexities of Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management workflows and processes
Previous Artificial intelligence experience and understanding of how to apply to areas to drive efficiency and speed of information or process intelligence
Knowledge of Digital AI (a/k/a Version One) or Jira tools
