Role Overview
Autodesk is reimagining how learning is designed, produced, and delivered to accelerate capability building, performance, innovation, and the future of work.
The Senior Manager, Learning Solutions will lead a multidisciplinary team and enterprise content production capability that combines contemporary media, AI-enabled innovation, and evidence-based adult learning. This leader will translate business and talent priorities into inclusive, engaging, scalable learning experiences that build skills and change behavior.
Operating as an internal learning studio and strategic talent development partner, this role owns the content lifecycle from needs analysis and learning design through creative production, delivery, measurement, and continuous improvement. Success requires equal fluency in learning science, modern content formats, operational execution, and people leadership.
Learning Content Strategy
Define an enterprise learning content strategy grounded in business capability needs, adult learning principles, learner research, and evolving media and delivery channels.
Build an integrated learning content ecosystem that supports discovery, reuse, accessibility, personalization, and learning in the flow of work.
Establish learning design and editorial standards, content governance, production principles, and transparent prioritization criteria.
Apply a product and performance-consulting mindset: diagnose needs, define outcomes, test solutions, iterate rapidly, and measure impact.
Video & Content Production
Lead compelling production across video, animation, podcasts, microlearning, interactive media, simulations, digital resources, and blended or live learning experiences.
Build a rapid, high-quality production model that balances creative ambition, instructional rigor, accessibility, and speed to learner value.
Oversee briefs, instructional and creative scripts, storyboards, filming, editing, post-production, accessibility, localization, publishing, and distribution.
Champion storytelling, practice-based learning, and thoughtful edutainment to make complex topics memorable and actionable.
Develop modular, reusable formats and templates suited to enterprise programs and just-in-time performance support.
Ensure learning assets reflect Autodesk brand, voice, values, inclusion, and accessibility standards.
AI-Enabled Production & Personalization
Experiment with and responsibly integrate AI across learning needs discovery, ideation, scripting, media generation, editing, localization, and content optimization.
Evaluate emerging media, adaptive learning, and AI-enabled tools against learner value, learning effectiveness, quality, accessibility, and operational efficiency.
Establish human review, intellectual property, privacy, accuracy, and quality safeguards for AI-assisted content.
Learning Experience Design
Lead learning needs analysis and translate performance gaps, skill priorities, and business goals into measurable learning objectives and coherent experiences.
Apply adult learning theory, instructional design, cognitive load, retrieval practice, spaced reinforcement, experiential learning, and transfer-to-work principles.
Design blended learning journeys for leadership and manager development, onboarding, AI, critical skills, culture, and enterprise transformation.
Combine self-paced, social, cohort-based, live, and in-workflow modalities based on learner context and desired outcomes rather than format trends.
Use learner research, journey mapping, prototyping, accessibility and inclusive design, pilots, and feedback to improve learning experiences.
Partner with program owners to build reinforcement, manager enablement, practice, and application into learning solutions.
Production Operations
Own the end-to-end learning production pipeline, from intake and performance consulting through design, production, launch, maintenance, and optimization.
Build roadmaps, resource and capacity plans, agile workflows, quality assurance, and service-level expectations.
Manage budgets, vendor relationships, timelines, production risk, and content lifecycle decisions.
Develop a flexible network of internal experts, facilitators, instructional designers, creative partners, and production resources.
Prioritize investments based on strategic relevance, learner need, performance impact, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
People Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team spanning learning design, content strategy, media production, and program delivery; set clear direction and accountabilities.
Build team capability in adult learning, instructional design, storytelling, modern media, AI-enabled production, accessibility, and data-informed iteration.
Manage performance, hiring, talent development, succession planning, and resource allocation; create growth opportunities and constructive feedback practices.
Foster a psychologically safe, inclusive culture of experimentation, creative excellence, operational discipline, and continuous learning.
Model Autodesk’s OneORBIT culture and influence across organizational boundaries through transparency, partnership, and shared accountability.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Partner with Talent Development Centers of Excellence and program owners to align content solutions to learning strategy, capability frameworks, and program outcomes.
Consult with business leaders, People & Places partners, subject-matter experts, and enterprise stakeholders to identify the right learning or performance intervention.
Align stakeholders on audience needs, success measures, instructional approach, creative direction, and delivery tradeoffs.
Measurement & Optimization
Define success measures across reach, engagement, learning, retention, behavior change, application, and business or performance outcomes.
Use evaluation frameworks, learner feedback, assessments, platform analytics, experimentation, and stakeholder evidence to improve effectiveness.
Assess formats, channels, personalization, and production methods for learner impact and return on investment.
Communicate actionable insights, capability outcomes, and the value of the learning content portfolio to senior leaders.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of progressive experience in learning and development, learning experience or instructional design, digital learning content, or related enterprise capability-building roles.
3+ years of direct people-management experience leading multidisciplinary learning, content, creative, or production teams, including coaching and performance management.
Demonstrated experience developing learning strategies and solutions grounded in adult learning, instructional design, and measurable performance outcomes.
Experience leading multimedia learning production, including video, storytelling, scripting, storyboarding, and digital or blended learning formats.
Experience building or improving scalable learning content operations, production processes, or an internal studio model.
Ability to assess learning needs and design accessible, inclusive, modular experiences for global audiences.
Experience managing budgets, vendors, cross-functional stakeholders, priorities, and complex delivery portfolios.
Strong executive communication, influence, decision-making, and change-leadership capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading enterprise L&D content and learning experience teams in a global technology or similarly complex organization.
Experience innovating with emerging media, AI-assisted production, adaptive learning, simulations, social learning, or immersive formats.
Knowledge of learning measurement and evaluation methods, skills frameworks, and performance consulting.
Familiarity with learning platforms, learning experience platforms, content management, analytics, and enterprise distribution channels.
Experience applying accessibility, localization, and inclusive design across global learning programs.
Experience scaling content ecosystems, reusable learning assets, or an enterprise content supply chain.
