Job Description
The Red Hat Solutions Architecture team is looking for a Senior Manager, Solution Architecture to join us in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you will manage a team of account solutions architects responsible for positioning Red Hat’s solutions and services to our customers and partners. You'll collaborate with sales management as well as the Consulting, Engineering, and Support teams to meet the outlined company sales objectives. You'll assist your team in developing and delivering business-facing messaging on technical subjects. This is an office based position in Tokyo, with frequent travels to customer sites.
What you will do:
Lead the Account Solutions Architecture team to support Red Hat's sales efforts
Support the sales team with recommendations to develop and implement complex solutions to achieve sales quotas
Meet revenue goals for subscriptions, services, and training related to our offerings
Be responsible for hiring and talent evaluation
Manage solutions architect alignments to support sales
Focus constantly on improvement and enablement of solutions architects
Spend time in the territory with the Sales teams
Support and Contribute to marketing activities (Events, conferences, user groups, thought leadership on social networks...)
What you will bring:
10+ years of experience, including a significant time working as a manager and a solutions architect with demonstrated presales experience
Sales experience with enterprise accounts
Ability to interpret customer business and technical needs
Understanding of complex enterprise solutions and architectures around Red Hat’s portfolio (Hybrid Cloud, Container platforms, Automation, infrastructure and middleware)
Ideally, knowledge and understanding of Open Source development models
Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills; fluency in Japanese
Record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout large enterprise IT organizations
