About the department:
The Infrastructure & Core Services Messaging and Unified Communications Engineering team delivers secure, reliable communication platforms for the global enterprise. The group designs and supports messaging, telephony, conferencing, and compliance solutions in partnership with infrastructure, security, and business teams. How you will add value?
Engineering ownership across design, implementation, and operational improvement of Microsoft 365 collaboration and communication solutions across Teams, OneDrive, and related services
Lead engineering efforts for Microsoft Teams collaboration workloads and enterprise telephony (Direct Routing, Operator Connect)
Architect and deploy Teams telephony solutions, including PSTN integration, voice routing, call flow design and compliance recording
Integrate Microsoft 365 services with enterprise systems, including identity (SSO / Entra ID), security platforms, network infrastructure, and compliance tools
Provide secondary role as engineering support for Messaging infrastructure related systems, including secure messaging and application mail gateways
Operate with Microsoft 365 Global Administrator access when required, supporting tenant-level decisions and cross-service integration
Support Microsoft OneDrive at an advanced (Tier 3) engineering level, including troubleshooting complex issues, performance optimization, and platform integration
Collaborate with SharePoint platform teams on Teams-related integration scenarios, without ownership of SharePoint architecture
Support mergers, acquisitions, and enterprise integration efforts related to collaboration and communication platforms
Resolve complex incidents as a third-level escalation resource and implement long-term improvements through root-cause analysis
Monitor platform performance and implement engineering-driven enhancements and automation
Support after-hours work during critical activities
What will help you be successful in this role?
Experience:
5+ years providing advanced engineering support as a Senior Engineer of Microsoft 365 Teams, including collaboration and voice workloads with a strong emphasis on Direct Routing design and integration
5+ years providing advanced engineering support for related Microsoft 365 services, including Messaging, SharePoint or OneDrive
Engineering, governance and operations of Zoom and/or Webex platforms
Engineering design and support of Messaging, secure messaging and gateways
Education & Certifications:
Microsoft 365, Exchange, or Teams certifications
Azure Administration certification
AudioCodes or similar SBC training or certifications
Technical Skills:
Integrate Microsoft 365 services in a hybrid Active Directory environment
Microsoft Teams engineering experience, including governance, lifecycle management, and collaboration architecture
Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting Microsoft Teams Phone solutions, including Compliance Recording, Direct Routing (required), voice routing policies, PSTN connectivity, and SBC integration
Strong understanding of telephony and voice engineering concepts, including SIP signaling, call flows, and end-to-end troubleshooting across Teams and network environments
Integration with identity systems (SSO, Entra ID, Azure AD), including application registration and permission management
Microsoft Graph API and advanced PowerShell scripting for automation
Experience migrating Microsoft 365 tenant data using third-party migration tools
Strong experience supporting Microsoft OneDrive, including architecture awareness, troubleshooting, and integration with Teams
Working knowledge of SharePoint Online as it relates to Microsoft Teams and OneDrive integration (no platform ownership required)
Configuration and policy management of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and WebEx
Messaging security and collaboration platform security concepts
Design and maintain engineering documentation, including architecture diagrams, system designs, integration workflows, and operational procedures
Clearly present technical designs and solutions to engineering and security teams
Develop and deliver training or knowledge transfer for operational teams
Exchange Online or hybrid messaging environments is a plus
Work Shift Timings - 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST
