Job Description
Human Resources Services (HRS) is an internal function providing global operations and business support across Brookfield’s lines of business.
About the Role
To provide efficient and effective payroll services including, calculation of accurate wages and salaries, creating and maintaining personnel and payroll records all in accordance with the relevant awards, agreements and legislation.
Asian payroll and benefit
Assist with reviewing and monitoring the outsourced payroll vendor’s production of Coordinate with payroll service providers with the payroll changes.
Payroll report checking and obtain the approvals to proceed payroll
Payroll cash out report checking
YTD report preparations and communications
Enroll employees into benefit plans in time and accurately.
Support company benefit renewals.
Maintaining correct employee’s data in Workday
Respond to payroll queries and payroll legislation changes
Asian social security insurance & tax year end adjustments and settlement, tax filing.
Year-end payroll reports preparation and checking.
Documents filing in timely manner per local regulation requested.
Employees communications on personal data collection and updates
Australian payroll
Back up of processing the monthly payroll using payroll system Workday for all Australia payroll employees by due date
Maintaining correct employee’s data in the payroll system
Calculating leave accruals and ensuring that the balances are correct in payroll and Workday
Processing superannuation and payroll tax payments monthly
Payroll month end reporting, including monthly leave movements
Annual reconciliation payroll data at year end
Respond to payroll queries and payroll legislation changes
Other
Prepare documents for internal and external payroll audits
Support payroll and benefit projects being implemented in Asia and Australia
Maintain up to date knowledge of the legislation impacting payroll calculations (termination, etc.) and apply this to payroll functions
Work Cover policy baseline knowledge
About You
Appropriate degree in Commerce / Accounting or Diploma in Accounting
More than 7 years payroll experience across APAC in a complex environment managing numerous payrolls
Experience with Workday payroll is not necessary but a plus
Great team player
Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Good communication skills
Superior attention to detail
Accurate data entry skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Knowledge of payroll legislation
Ability to work under pressure until work done
Flexibilities
Can do attitude
2nd language (Chinese, Korean or Japanese)
