Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented Senior Planner to join our team! In this role you will be part of the planning and project controls functions for a major development program in Riyadh, overseeing integrated scheduling and performance reporting to ensure effective program delivery.
As Senior Planner, you will work closely with program leadership and project teams to establish and manage integrated Programme aligned with project delivery strategy, contractual obligations, and program milestones.

Continually improve the quality of schedule presentation, information, and documentation.
Ensure the preservation of all backup documentation throughout the process, working closely with information management teams.
Provide Guidance & support to the team in all aspects of Planning, Cost, Resourcing & Risk.
Produce the Project schedules and maintain as per Consultant/Contractor schedule.
Ensure the schedule adheres to the Schedule Management Plan, Planning processes and WOW.
Resource planning – to indicate the levels of resources.
Develop and implement appropriate improvements, ensure optimal project schedule quality, and evaluate reports.
Analysis of schedule to identity performance trends, raise for management attention, with mitigation solutions.
Review of prepared schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations.
Integrate inter-discipline schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties. Work with the performing organizations and units to coordinate work sequences with the total project plan.
Identify potential and occurring problems affecting the work schedule at the site and recommend solutions to the relevant team/department
Continually improve the quality of schedule presentation, information, and documentation.
Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
Clarify the needs of team to ensure delivery of effective services.
Review, and edit Project progress track and reporting
To produce Baseline/Target schedules for submission.
Planning and scheduling own work to meet required timelines and outputs.
Ensure weekly/monthly updating of schedules as design and construction work develops.
Manage sharing of knowledge and information within own team and with internal stakeholders
Respond accurately and in a timely manner to team queries regarding the content of the submission schedule.
Undertake strategic planning exercises with wider team.
Provide inputs in setting up processes and procedures to implement it.
Identifies key interfaces and manages them efficiently to ensure seamless coordination.
Manage coordination with commercial function to implement an effective controls system covering budget, cost, reporting, risk, and change management.
Experience in preparing, reviewing and analyzing Extension of Time (EOT) claims, with strong familiarity in industry‑standard delay analysis methodologies (e.g., Time Impact Analysis, Windows Analysis, As‑Built vs. As‑Planned). Well‑versed in FIDIC conditions of contract and related contractual/claims requirements.
What Required Skills You'll Bring;
Degree and/or postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Management, or relevant field of study.
Primavera Certification (Preferred)
Recognized project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) - desirable
6 min years’ relevant planning experience working within Mega/large scale complex design and construction programs across private and/or government sectors.
Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing business requirements.
Effectively manages and prioritizes workload and delivers to tight deadlines.
Demonstrate Strong written and verbal skills in English.
Demonstrate proficient use of enterprise-level management software, such as P6, MS office (Excel, Word,)– preferred skills include Power BI
Leverage existing relationships to identify and develop relationships and provide strategic input to maximize project outcomes.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Analytical and thorough, problem-solving ability
Able to connect people and issues and drive a quick response
