Job Description
As Senior Principal, Content Strategy, you will lead how Epicor connects content to performance—driving growth in organic discovery (GEO) and improving conversion across the digital journey.
This role is responsible for building and operating a content system that increases qualified traffic and converts that traffic into pipeline. You will partner across Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Brand, and Digital to ensure content is structured, optimized, and measured to perform—without owning or mandating core messaging.
This is a strategic, performance-oriented role at the intersection of content, SEO/GEO, and conversion optimization. Given the strategic nature and impact to the business, this role will report directly to VP, Digital Marketing.
What you will be doing
1. Content Strategy & Calendar Governance
· Define and execute a consolidated Content Strategy – audit current structure and performance, set objectives and publish strategy to achieve them. Work across all groups to ensure adoption and consistency.
· Own the content performance model – establish KPIs to measure how content influences journey conversion to leads (intent alignment, content structure, calls-to-action, progression to lead) and continuously refine to grow MQLs.
· Translate business priorities into content roadmaps — intake requirements from Product Marketing, Demand Gen, International, and Brand, and convert into prioritized plans tied to traffic and pipeline outcomes.
· Ensure Coordination and Scheduling - Create the master content calendar across Demand Gen, Product Marketing, Social, and PR/Comms, run regular cross-functional cadences, and ensure content is structured for reuse and performance across all channels.
· Define standards, not messaging — create content frameworks, briefs, and guardrails that enable teams to produce consistent, high-performing content without dictating themes or copy.
2. Content Performance
· Build a GEO-forward content system — establish frameworks that improve discoverability in AI-driven search (entity clarity, topical authority, structured content, answer-ready formats)
· Enable scaled execution — build repeatable playbooks (content types, SEO/GEO checklists, briefing templates, measurement plans) that increase throughput and consistency
What you will likely bring
· Current experience building and operating performance-oriented content strategies in Enterprise.
· Actively fluent with AI tools in daily practice; building custom agents or automations, or a power user of embedded AI tools in platforms
· Demonstrated success connecting content decisions to measurable business outcomes throughout the buyer journey (awareness, traffic growth, CVR improvement, pipeline contribution, CAC efficiency) h content-led initiatives
· Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and emerging GEO / AI-driven discovery models
· Broad-based marketing experience working across content, demand gen, and digital performance teams, with a clear view of how content drives pipeline
· Excellent stakeholder management skills to align across functions to ensure adoption without direct authority.
· Hands-on expertise with data & analytics tools and ability to see trends, gaps, and opportunities. (e.g. GA, SEMRush/AHRefs/ SreamingFrog, GSC, conversion metrics, and pipeline waterfalls in SFDC)
What could set you apart
· Experience designing content systems for AI Overviews, LLM discovery, and zero-click environments
· Experience working across multiple sites and site migrations
· Experience working with global across multiple time zones, and comfort adapting working hours when necessary.
· Experience within the ERP industry
· Strong familiarity with content-led CRO (intent mapping, journey design, UX/content interplay)
· Experience building global content governance and intake models that balance scale with flexibility
