Senior Tax Accountant (Individual Tax Returns)
Fiduciary Trust International is hiring a Senior Tax Accountant for its Radnor, PA office (Greater Philadelphia Area). This role will play an important part in the accurate and timely preparation and review of tax returns and related tax matters for Fiduciary Trust International clients. The position requires a strong understanding of federal and state tax laws, sound judgment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex tax compliance matters for high-net-worth individuals and related entities.
How You Will Add Value
Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns and gift tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trust returns, estate returns, partnerships, and private foundations
Manage the tax compliance process for a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, including gathering financial information, coordinating deliverables, communicating with clients, and addressing tax-related inquiries
Conduct tax research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations to management and clients
Coordinate tax engagement workflows and monitor filing deadlines to ensure timely completion of client deliverables.
Assist in the preparation of estimated tax payments and extensions
Collaborate with Wealth Advisors, Trust Officers, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and client service.
Participate in client meetings and communicate tax matters and planning recommendations in collaboration with Wealth Advisors and Tax Management
Assist with tax notices, audits and other tax authority inquiries
Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company and its clients
What Will Help You Be Successful
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Master's degree in Taxation preferred
EA or CPA designation preferred
8-12 years of experience in public accounting, private client tax, fiduciary tax, and/or wealth management tax services.
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, with a strong emphasis on preparing individual, partnership, trusts, estates and private foundation tax returns
Experience with CCH Axcess tax preparation software
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to work in our Radnor, PA office three days per week
Compensation: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary — designed to support their well-being and recognize their time, talents, and results. We expect the annual salary for this position to range between $145,000 - $185,000 depending on level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
