Job Summary
The Service & Operations Specialist – Tax Reporting is responsible for ensuring accurate tax withholding and regulatory reporting for domestic and foreign clients. This role plays a critical part in meeting IRS regulatory obligations, particularly related to Form 1042‑S reporting for foreign clients. The position involves complex tax rules, high attention to detail, and close collaboration with internal partners to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure accurate withholding and reporting of income subject to U.S. tax regulations for domestic and foreign clients.
Prepare, validate, and reconcile IRS Form 1042‑S for foreign clients in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Identify, research, and resolve discrepancies related to tax withholding, client income reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Support additional tax reporting functions and regulatory initiatives as required.
Maintain detailed documentation and follow established controls to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
Partner with internal stakeholders to support smooth processing and timely reporting cycles.
Qualifications
Experience in service, operations, tax reporting, or financial services operations
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and data accuracy requirements
High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a deadline-driven environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to navigate complex rules and apply them consistently
Effective written and verbal communication skills

In-Office Collaboration
We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. By fostering a culture of face-to-face collaboration, idea sharing, productivity and personal connection, we deliver for our stakeholders — clients, advisors, employees and shareholders. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.
Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $54,400 - $74,800 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
