About This Role:
We’re looking for a full-time Strategic Total Rewards Partner to join our People team reporting to the Senior Manager, Center of Excellence. This role is a remote role based in The United States.
In this role, you’ll play a key role in shaping and scaling Gainsight’s global total rewards strategy by designing and governing competitive compensation, incentive, and equity programs that support business growth and talent retention. The ideal candidate brings strong skills in global compensation strategy, incentive and equity program design, and advanced compensation analytics within Workday.
What You'll Do:
Serve as a strategic advisor on total rewards, including incentive plans and equity programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Lead the evolution of global rewards strategies to support growth, retention, and workforce planning priorities.
Partner with senior leaders to design compensation solutions that drive performance and enable organizational scale.
Ensure internal equity, market competitiveness, and compliance across jurisdictions, with particular expertise in U.S. and India markets.
Design and manage global incentive frameworks, equity programs, and related governance structures.
Oversee semi-annual and ad hoc equity approval cycles, including preparation of board-level materials and management of 409A valuations.
Conduct advanced compensation analyses to identify trends, compression risks, and opportunities for program refinement.
Partner closely with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting related to incentive compensation and benefits.
Support annual incentive cycles, equity grant processes, and benefits renewals in collaboration with HR and business leaders.
Provide education and enablement to HRBPs and leaders on compensation philosophy, pay transparency, and best practices.
Collaborate with HR Operations to enhance systems, tools, and processes supporting rewards administration.
Maintain governance frameworks for equity and incentive programs, including documentation, policy development, and audit readiness.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting global rewards, ensuring proactive compliance.
This is not a complete list of responsibilities, and the scope of the role may evolve with the needs of the team and business. This role will require occasional travel for team meetings, training, or company events.
What We're Looking For:
10+ years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in total rewards across India and the US.
3+ years of hands-on experience in designing and managing compensation programs in both markets, including equity plans and 409A valuations.
Strong understanding of job leveling, pay structures, and market benchmarking methodologies.
Experience working with tech or PE-backed organizations is highly desirable.
Comfort and availability to work EST hours with flexible overlap for collaboration with India teams.
Advanced proficiency in Workday, with deep expertise in Advanced Compensation configuration and compensation-related business processes.
Experience managing compensation cycles within Workday, including plan configuration, eligibility rules, approvals, and audit reporting.
Strong understanding of Workday business process frameworks and integrations as they relate to compensation administration.

Our Compensation and Benefits: At Gainsight, we believe great work happens when teammates feel fully supported.
The starting base salary range for this role is $150,000 – $180,000 USD annually. This role is also eligible for commission based on performance and participation in Gainsight’s equity program. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, and location.
