Role Summary
This role will support the Payroll Manager and Director, Payroll & Equity Administration, in end-to-end payroll processing, including regular and off-cycle payrolls, resolving tax notices, and processing new hires, terminations, and employee data changes. The Payroll Analyst will ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and support audits, reconciliations, while delivering high-quality and timely customer service to employees.
Key Responsibilities
Support the payroll team with end-to-end payroll processing, including regular and off-cycle payrolls in accordance with SOX internal controls and company policies
Work closely with the payroll and people team to ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires, terminations, and employee data changes
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide timely issue resolution and service
Perform payroll reconciliations and ad hoc reporting to support audits, management requests, and payroll-related projects
Assist with year-end and month-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reconciliation
Maintain payroll documentation and ensure confidentiality and data integrity
Assist with and reconcile equity compensation transactions into payroll and perform YTD wage reconciliations
Help resolve payroll tax notices by researching discrepancies and coordinating any amendments and responses
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field preferred
CPP certification is a plus
3+ years of payroll processing experience; public company and/or biotechnology or life sciences industry experience preferred
ADP, Workday, or similar payroll system experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Hands-on experience processing multi-state payroll
Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
Experience researching and resolving payroll tax notices
Strong Excel skills, including data review and basic reconciliations
High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy

Position requires up to 20% travel including mandatory in-person attendance at All Hands meetings typically held twice per year
The anticipated salary range for candidates for this role will be $95,000-$110,000. The final salary offered will depend on several factors, which may include, but is not limited to relevant years of experience, educational background, and geography.
