Job Description
About Daydream
Daydream is the first chat-based shopping agent built exclusively for fashion. Designed to redefine how people search and discover fashion, Daydream offers a personalized, conversational experience powered by advanced AI and natural language understanding.
Backed by top-tier investors including Forerunner Ventures, Index Ventures, Google Ventures, and True Ventures, our team is committed to shaping the future of shopping.
About the role
At Daydream, product managers are builders. We do not draw a line between “the people who decide what to build” and “the people who build it.” Our PMs prototype their own ideas, test them with real users, and ship what works. We value working prototypes and fast learnings over documentation. We operate in small, fast-moving teams where everyone ships. AI tools are central to how we work — our teams go from idea to functional prototype in hours, not weeks. We value curiosity, a willingness to learn new tools quickly, and the drive to turn an insight into something tangible.
What you’ll do:
- Rapidly prototype product ideas using AI coding tools, no-code platforms, or whichever approach gets you to a testable version fastest. You’ll validate assumptions before committing engineering resources.
- Design and run lightweight experiments to test hypotheses. We favor speed and learning over perfect execution.
- Own problems end-to-end on a small team. You will not hand off specs and wait.
- Use data to determine when an experiment is working and when to end it. Define lightweight success criteria upfront, measure what matters, and move on when something is not gaining traction.
- Think in loops, not launches. Consider how the product grows through usage (onboarding, activation, and distribution) not just feature delivery.
- Contribute directly to the product in ways that go beyond traditional PM responsibilities, whether that means building a prototype with Claude Code, writing a script to analyze usage data, or mocking up a flow in Figma.
Who you are
Must have
- 3+ years of Product Management experience. You have shipped products before, you know how to navigate ambiguity, and you do not need someone to tell you what to do next.
- Fluency with AI tools as a daily working method. You should be able to use Claude Code, Codex, or a similar tool to produce a working prototype, analysis, or functional mock-up.
- Strong product instincts backed by analytical ability. You can pull data, interpret it, and make a call using your preferred combination of tools.
- Comfort operating with ambiguity. You will determine the right approach for each problem and change course when it is not working.
- Clear, concise communication. Not polished decks and formal specs, but the ability to articulate a product direction, align a small team, and maintain momentum without process overhead.
Nice to have
- Experience with product-led growth — activation funnels, growth loops, and usage-driven expansion.
- A portfolio of things you have prototyped or built. Side projects, internal tools, or creative solutions to real problems. We value people who make things, regardless of how they made them.
- Familiarity with experimentation practices.
- Experience at early-stage or high-growth startups where you took on multiple roles and defined your own approach as the company evolved.
What we offer
- Competitive salary, equity and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc.)
- Flexible vacation and remote working
- The opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking, AI-focused company.
- Collaborative work environment with a team of talented, fun-loving individuals.
- Opportunity to learn and grow in your career while shaping the future of fashion, shopping and technology
