Pinterest is looking for a Sr. Manager, Workplace Operations to lead global facilities operations across a complex portfolio of offices, coworking spaces, and a major tech headquarters environment. This leader will oversee regional operations teams across multiple geographies, driving operational excellence, safety, consistency, and employee readiness while balancing budget discipline, technical rigor, and a high-quality workplace experience. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to strengthen global standards, modernize operations, and partner across Workplace, Real Estate, Security, and executive stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
Lead global facilities and leadership at scale.
Lead global workplace operations across approximately 24 offices and ~600,000 square feet, spanning direct leases and coworking environments, with accountability for safe, reliable, and consistent day-to-day facilities performance.
Manage and develop a distributed team structure that includes 5 regional managers and downstream site leadership, building a strong culture of accountability, responsiveness, and operational excellence across regions.
Technical facilities expertise and operational discipline.
Oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, vendor performance, compliance, life safety coordination, and workplace readiness to ensure offices are functional, well-maintained, and employee-ready at all times.
Establish and operationalize global standards, KPIs, SLAs, and operating rhythms to improve service consistency, strengthen vendor governance, and optimize the global workplace operations budget.
Strategic partner and data-driven operator.
Needs to be a leader who can move between strategy and execution: setting standards, using data to identify trends and savings opportunities, communicating clearly to senior stakeholders, and partnering effectively across Workplace and other functions. Should be able to connect service delivery to business outcomes, make sound tradeoff decisions, and lead through ambiguity and change in a remote-first environment with variable office demand.
Partner closely with Real Estate, Design & Construction, Security, EHS, Food, Events, IT, People, and executive stakeholders to support office openings, closings, redesigns, employee experience needs, emergency preparedness, and headquarters operations.
Use data to identify trends, improve planning, inform space and maintenance decisions, and connect operational performance to business needs in a remote-first environment with variable office demand.
Incorporate AI into your everyday operations.
Use AI to accelerate analysis, reporting, and operational planning, while applying strong judgment and verification to ensure quality, accuracy, and responsible decision-making.
Apply AI and technology to streamline repeatable workflows, synthesize service insights, improve vendor and maintenance analysis, and help the team scale more efficiently across regions.
What we’re looking for:
10+ years of experience in workplace operations, facilities management, or a related function within a complex, multi-site, multinational environment; technology company experience strongly preferred.
6+ years of people leadership experience, including leading managers and developing distributed teams across regions.
Experience overseeing multi-region facilities operations across a diverse office portfolio, including direct leases, coworking environments, and headquarters or similarly complex sites.
Strong technical facilities knowledge, including building operations, preventative maintenance programs, repairs, compliance, vendor management, and service delivery oversight.
Demonstrated experience setting and managing KPIs, SLAs, budgets, and vendor governance processes to drive operational consistency, accountability, and cost efficiency.
Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with workplace, real estate, security, design & construction, food/services, and executive stakeholders to support changing business needs.
Strong decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance employee experience, risk, service quality, and business priorities.
Experience using data, systems, and AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, forecasting, workflow efficiency, service analysis, or operational decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
IFMA certification(s) and/or relevant facilities, engineering, building systems, or workplace certifications strongly preferred; BMS knowledge strongly preferred.
